Set the size
A 5×5 card with a free center needs twenty-four entries. The editor accepts up to eighty, which gives the generator more combinations when making several cards. A larger pool also means a longer host list, so choose size to match how long you want the activity to last.
For a short round, begin near thirty words. For more variation among cards, add words only if they still suit the guests and the occasion. Length alone does not make the game better.
Remove accidental duplicates
Check spelling, plural forms, and near-synonyms. “Photo” and “Photos” could make a call confusing even though the tool sees them as different entries. Exact repeats, ignoring capitalization, produce an error so you can fix the list before printing.
Put a single phrase on each line. Avoid commas as separators; a line with several comma-separated ideas becomes one crowded square.
Check accessibility
Use plain terms that can be read quickly. A guest should not need to decode an abbreviation or recognize a private nickname to play. If you need a specialized word, give the caller a short explanation to share before the round.
Read the longest entries in a test print. Browser print settings and paper size affect wrapping, and a technically valid phrase can still look cramped.
Test the host list
Generate the set and inspect the calling list at the end of the preview. It includes each word that appears on at least one card, once. You can call in the listed order or use it as a checklist if you choose another method.
After any edit to the pool or card count, regenerate and print all materials again. The host list belongs to its generated card set.
